The. Best. Ice cream in the world. And I think I’ve shown by how often ice cream comes up in these year of pleasure’s that I have very strong opinions about that.
This is from Joe’s Italian Ice in Anaheim, CA. Anytime we visit Bear’s parents we drive out of our way to make a stop here, typically with me buying way more ice cream than I could ever eat over the length of our visit.
The soft-serve is a special Philadelphia style that is cooked in a way to make it super creamy, and the ice is another Philadelphia specialty called water ice that I can only describe as a cross between a sorbet and a slurpee made with fresh fruit.
We take everyone who sets foot in Southern California here, and they all say it was worth the drive.
