2009 Year of Pleasures #9

I found myself in Target the other day and they had cute blank books in their dollar section. I snapped one up for this project I had in mind.

I took all of the cards and emails and comments I’ve gotten over the past few weeks and glued them all into the pages of this book. So whenever I have a day where I feel overwhelmed by the task in front of me, when I’m busy with three different appointments in one day (I’m looking at you, Monday), and when I’m bitter about my lack of autonomy, I can pull this out and think about all the friends I have around the world cheering me on. I really love you guys.

  1. A pick-me-up book full of nice thoughts, love, words of wisdom, well wishes and compassion. What a great idea! I am going to suggest this to my niece. Like you, she also has been facing tremendous ups and downs and huge challenges since her daughter was born last month. God bless you.

  2. What a great idea…I have something similar but mostly quotes. Motherhood is so darn hard…nothing is ever as expected or ever easy but it is nice to know that others understand…and that one is not alone.

  3. Just found you thru oneprettything.I'm a mother of 4..including once-preemie twins who will be turning 25 in April. The most profound thing I ever heard about being a mother (and the older your beautiful boy gets, the more you'll agree) is that Parenthood is made up of LONG days and SHORT years. The years have certainly flown by!
